Every weekend Take Gre Practice Tests
Most of the people save the practice test for last 10 days of the exam.
I do not suggest this strategy, instead I will recommend you to do practice test every weekend as it will you determine your weak areas so that you can work on it.
Do Not Underrate Quantitative Part of the New GRE
Most of the people have an impression that quants section is simple.
Keep in mind that GRE math is not hard, but it's tricky. It can turn into major score bummer if there is not enough practice and proper strategy for it.
Quantitative is a scoring part of the GRE, you can boot up your score with it.
Verbal Section Is Not Just About Vocabulary
Just by learning words, you can’t crack the verbal section of the GRE; well it does not mean that vocab is useless. For Sentence equivalence and Text completion, you need a vocabulary.
You can’t clear verbal part of GRE just by learning words, but that doesn’t mean vocab is inadequate. You need vocabulary for Text completion and Sentence equivalence.
Try To Do 5 Parts in Practice Tests Instead Of 4 Sections
It is the major score bummer for me, I am not sure about others, but me and my friends were affected by it.
In general, the practice test has only 4 sections (2 quants, 2 verbal), they do not have the 5th section which is the unscored section that we will observe in real GRE. I had done 8 practice tests (1 paper based and 7 CAT) all of them had 4 sections and I expected to score good after the 4 section
Well, everyone knows that in real GRE there is additional section, I didn’t focus on the last section. The test condition is more accurate if you practice the 5 section rather than the 4the section.
Power Prep and Official Guide Are Must Do Things
If you are serious for the GRE then you should get an official guide for it as no other test prep book is helpful as the official guide.
No other practice test can represent the real GRE as the power prep.
The power prep was helpful for me and my friends.
